One of the most important things to me is freedom of speech. I support people's right to discuss, write fiction about, and in all ways to examine the most controversial issues of our time: Incest, rape, and pedophilia.
Let me warn you about my fiction. My novels contain incest, rape, and pedophilia. They are also gory and highly sexual. They aren't porn. My work examines and explores the nature of sexuality, the nature of violence, the ugliness of the human experience. They also explore the cost of both peace and war; and culture shock; bigotry and prejudice. I'm not afraid to write about reality within the metaphor of fantasy.
And I am fully prepared to defend the rights of others to do the same, whether they are professional writers or fan writers.
